pledges or donations?

I was hoping to use pledgie to collect "pledges" rather than actual donations. In my case, for legal reasons, I can't accept donations just yet (and it's unclear if I'll be able to accept online at all) but I was hoping to be able to let people pledge to donate.

If pledgie only does actual donations rather than pledges, it would seem to be misnamed.

   Hi Colin,
   You can start a Pledgie campaign without accepting donations, but the only thing users will be able to do is make comments on your campaign. You could use that as a pledge of support i guess.

   Unfortunately, that doesn't help much. I would need the pledgeometer to record how close we are to our goal of $XXX in pledged support and have folks able to convert their pledge into an actual donation at some point in the future.
