Linking to paypal.
Hi,
I posted my pledgie on facebook. Whenever someone clicks on the "Donate Using Paypal" button on the payment confirmation screen, it takes them to an error message that says:
"Sorry — your last action could not be completed
If you were making a purchase or sending money, we recommend that you check both your PayPal account and your email for a transaction confirmation after 30 minutes.
If you came to this page from another website, please return to that site (don't use your browser's Back button) and restart your activity.
If you came from PayPal's website, click the PayPal logo in the upper-left corner to return to our home page and restart your activity. You might have to log in again."
Any idea why this is happening?

Hi denvilcahill, When you say you posted Pledgie to Facebook what do you mean by that? Do you mean you added a badge to your profile page or installed the Pledgie Facebook application?
Thanks and sorry for the trouble with Pledgie, Mark

It came out as a link. The way I did it was like this.
1) I went to this page so view my campaign:
http://www.pledgie.com/campaigns/2954
2) About halfway down on the right hand side there is a section that says "Add a badge to your website." Underneath that is something that says "Post to Facebook" and "Share." I clicked on share and a window pops up.
3) I clicked post in the pop up.
4) A link appeared on my facebook wall that is clickable and says "Pledgie — Donate To: "Uganda Mission Trip," Anyone can click on it and it takes them to a page that is identical to the one I posted above. So far so good.
5) You enter an amout in the "Make a Pledge" box and hit "submit"
6) It takes you to a page that says "You are about to make pledge to the "Uganda Mission Trip" campaign." and "Confirm Your Pledge." There is anothe amount box and a button next to it that says "Donate Using Paypal." You click on that to confirm your donation and...
7) It takes you to the previously mentioned error page.
The only thing I can figure out on my end is if I misunderstood the whole paypal address thing when I first registered my campaign. I thought that meant to use the email address that I have linked to my paypal through yahoo... Did that mean something different?
Thanks for any help.

Maybe this is the problem. You cannot donate to your own campaign (or at least using the same paypal address you are going to receive funds from). If you want to designate funds on your campaign from yourself you can do this by creating a manual donation. Do you have someone who can test donating from your facebook profile page?

Hi,
Also, can you post a link to your profile page so we can see how it is linking to us? That would help us track down the problem further.

I meant Facebook profile.
Like can we go through the process he is describing and reproduce the problem.

Ok... I think I found a way past the error... This time I directly put a badge in a facebook note using the badge's html code and posted that... That seems to work and one of my friends was able to send me a payment... I just have to verify it, but that's a paypal thing... Everything on your end seems to be ok with this method...
However, the way I described above using the built in "Post to Facebook" button seems to have a bug... I'm ok with doing it the other way but just thought you might want to be aware of it.
