Hi, Do you know what the specific error is? When I try and donate to the cause I am redirected to the Paypal site, which means that they have issued a paykey token correctly. More than likely the issue is that your account on paypal is not verified or has been frozen by paypal. Please send me the specific error but you may also want to contact Paypal to find out the status of your account.
Best Regards,
Mark

The exact error message I get is:
Your payment can't be completed. Please return to the participating website and try again.
I have transferred funds to the paypal account in the pledge directly, but for some reason using pledgie fails. My account is showing as Verified with no other messages

Hi Mark,
I'm not sure that will work as it is already unchecked :( I'll try enabling and then disabling it.
Thanks,
Andy

Hi Mark,
When I check my settings the option was already unchecked. I tried checking it, but still the payment wouldn't go through. I then unchecked it and still i get the same issue.
:(
Thanks,
Andy

Hey Andy,
I walked through the various transactions for your account with Paypal and they said at first blush everything seems to be set up correctly and so they are going to dig a bit deeper on their end. Apparently there is another log file which they can request access to but it will take a couple of hours to get access to it. I do have a support ticket open however, and will let you know what I find out as soon as I hear something. I am very sorry for your troubles, but I am sure we'll get everything resolved.
Best Regards,
Mark

Hi Joel,
If I remember correctly this problem was due to the fact that the campaign was set up to accept a currency that the Paypal account did not accept. What is the campaign url that is having problems?
Best,
Mark

Hi Joel,
I was able to get all the way to the point in the Paypal process where it asks for my funds, which is a good sign. Is your paypal account confirmed, i.e. is it linked to a credit card or bank account? Sometimes this is a reason for transactions not being completed. Can you give me a specific error message your donors are seeing when other's try to pledge?
Mark

website and try again."

Hope this helps,

Hey Joel,
It might be best for you to call Paypal at this point because it sounds like your account is misconfigured. Please let me know if there is something I can do to help out e.g. provide details to Paypal.
Best,
Mark

"Your payment can't be completed because one of the receivers can't accept payments at this time."
I tried twice to pledge and couldn't.

More than likely this means that Paypal has frozen the account that you are hoping to donate to. This is typically because the account is not verified and has received too many funds above some preset limit. My suggestion would be to contact the campaign owner directly, or leave a comment on their campaign to let them know about the problem.
Best Regards,
Mark
